Jack Fox is a business coach and Executive Director of The Accounting Guild with headquarters in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mr. Fox is an author/consultant/seminar leader who has assisted thousands of accountants since1984.

He was on staff at The New York Times and left to serve as budget director for the National Alliance of Business in Washington, DC. He then launched his own accounting business which was the subject of an article he wrote for Management Accounting Magazine published by the Institute of Management Accountants. The great reader response to that article prompted an invitation from an editor at John Wiley & Sons to expand the article into a book.

After my incredulous response of asking how does one expand a three page article into a book, he did it. Starting and Building Your Own Accounting Business was born in September, 1984 and has sold consistently well for 15 years through two editions. The third edition will be published by Wiley in December, 1999. It has been the best selling book in its niche for this entire period.

Jack went into consulting and writing full time in 1984. My other books are: Accountants' Guide to Budgetary Automation, GOD's Business Gamebook and Business Planning Guide, Selling Skills for Client/Server Accounting Software Professionals, Accounting and Recordkeeping Made Easy for the Self-Employed and How to Obtain Your Own SBA Loan. (None of which will probably ever make it to Oprah's Book Club).

When it comes to the accounting business, I know what works and what doesn't work.

Jack as an avocation (although a paid professional) does stand-up comedy and emceeing at trade shows and organizations, primarily in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Diego.
